Simply Beauty

by
Maria Kelly
the dewdrops arrive and linger on the petals of the morning glories; their bright faces cerulean like a sky, unspoiled by clouds. the trees are calling each rustling leaf like a sigh of a wood fairy gently drifting; sweetly on the breeze at the edge of dreams, untroubled by time. the streams are singing asking me to stop and listen: a half-remembered song; to look and wonder, to pause and consider, beauty in simplicity.

Maria,

Did you take these pictures? If so, they are great!

I love the simplicity in the poem. . . especially the ending - "to pause and consider, beauty in simplicity."

AH! Poetry! :)

Well done.

Hi Jim;

I did not take the pics but hope to get a digital camera and go hunting for great Kodak moments soon. I'm glad you like the pics (I found them on a public domain site, which is how I get a lot of my pics/clip art for my blogs, after making sure it really is all PD stuff, that is). I'm glad you like the poem!

I cannot believe I haven't commented on this. I know I read it and loved it. Got side-tracked, I guess.
Anyway, you never cease to amaze me with your poetry. So deep and heartfelt. I really enjoyed this.
