Grass is Green

by Michelle Dennis Evans Trees sway with wind Sun is high Clouds far away Perfect days A beautiful country Time to enjoy Outside to explore Brain filled with pain Can’t see clear Filled with clouds Blue skies distant Searching for light Hidden meaning near Hint of a breeze Maybe a beautiful day

I love this poem! So many people deal with depression, and they can't enjoy the beautiful things in life. This poem reminds me of that and has a ray of light at the end.

Lovely poem, Michelle. The realm of emotion mimicking real life. Starting and ending the day with optimism. That's what it's all about.
Awesome!

Wonderful words here Michelle. It doesn't take much for us to get distracted from what's already here in our own world that we can appreciate.
BUT it also doesn't take much to see IT either, you just have to look!

Thanks for sharing.

I like the 'hidden meaning near' line. so often it is those lessons we need to find to make sense of our struggles.

you are quite a poetry girl, aren't you :) well done.

I love the internal struggle of this poem. Trying to see the beauty of the world while experiencing personal pain, and yes, the hope that is revealed at the end finishes it beautifully. Great job!
